Happy St. Patty's Day!
Tonight we feasted on a traditional Irish meal. We made Corned Beef & Cabbage with Potatoes, Carrots and Onions along with sweet corn bread. It was delicious! Miss Wiz and Uncle Joe joined us and we sipped on Killion's Red Irish Beer. Miss Wiz brought over a lemon pudding cake to top it off. I always love making an Irish meal on St. Patty's Day because my mom always did every year when I was a kid. She always had a green dessert to go with it, though!

My Baby is 6 Months Old!
Tonight we celebrated Whitney turning 6 months old. Uncle Joe came over and we had briscuit (cooked all afternoon), cheese grits, salad and squash with rice cereal (Whitney's food). Whitney is one of the sweetest girls her daddy and I have ever known. She is so content and loves to do whatever Elyse is doing. She smiles at everybody and is gentle and patient. What a joy and a blessing to have Whitney in our family!! We all love her so much.

The Polaroids
On Sunday, March 2 Grandma Ellingsworth, cousin Kayla and Uncle David all came from Kansas City to celebrate all of the winter birthdays. No celebration with Grandma is complete without her Polaroid camera and at least 3 cakes. We all sing to each other for each birthday and get to pick whether we want the birthday song done slow, fast or very fast. Chris's dad and brothers were there too.
Happy Birthday, my sweet CLE!
On February 28 we celebrated Chris's birthday. I gave him presents all week, but on his actual birthday we made a feast and his mom came over. The menu included marinated grilled KC strip steaks, sauteed fresh asparagus, baked potatoes, cheesecake and Greg Norman Shiraz (thanks Brooke and Dan!)
I love celebrating birthdays with Chris...first of all he loves absolutely anything I get him and it is always fun to make some of his favorite foods. I also have the excuse to splurge on birthday gifts. The night after his birthday we dined at Sophia's without the girls and had some of our favorite Sophia items. They have an amazing calamari with a balsamic chili sauce on the menu right now, and Chris tried a Belgium Artois draught beer. Chris has been working so hard on the success of his new business, a night out on the town was much needed!
